An Edgy Black & White Styled Wedding Session

This summer we chose to explore a theme with a more edgy feel, and holy cow friends, we loved the outcome! It was so fun to break out of our “box” we put ourselves into sometimes and just photograph something a little out of the norm. This session had NO color, everything was white, black, and green and we re honestly obsessed! This is such a timeless look, and Sons and Daughters was the perfect space to allow our monochrome creativity to run free!

Alex & Jared

Alex and Jared were literally the PERFECT couple for this look! We went to school with Alex, and when she volunteered to model we were beyond excited! We knew that she and her honey were going to kill it (which they did)! This whole session is a vibe, and we are here for it!

Nikki

Where to even start. When Nikki asked to model I was thrilled, because yes she was perfect for this style, but it’s so much more than that! Nikki is such an amazing person, with a huge heart, and we truly enjoy getting to be around her and work with her! Nikki is actually one of our preferred hair and makeup artists, and in addition to being our beautiful solo bride, she also did all of the hair and makeup! Talk about having many talents!

Vendors

Sons and Daughters is a BRAND NEW black and white wedding venue in Rolla, MO and they were the perfect location for this session! We loved getting to photograph with their white walls and black accents! Clarice’s Bridal provided gowns that were literally perfect for the vibe of this session, and Jim’s Formal Wear provided a dapper suit for Jared! STL Neons brought an awesome POP to this set with one of their custom neon signs over the sweetheart table! And speaking of sweetheart table, Something Bleau did an amazing job, per the usual! Allie designed a tablescape that was simple but beautiful none the less! Flour. Custom Cakes & Cupcakes provided a gorgeous (and delicious) cake! Lastly, as we mentioned above, Nikki Creacy was our hair and makeup artist for this session! Nikki is one of our recommended hair and makeup artists, we love working alongside her!
